- Set up your profile (professional title, company, bio, networking interests)
- Define your networking intentions for events
- Communicate with other users through in-app chat
- Register for or create events
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Venny application
- Match you with relevant event attendees based on your networking intentions using our AI-powered matching algorithm
- Facilitate communication between matched users
- Send you event-related notifications
- Provide analytics to event organizers and sponsors in aggregated, anonymized form
3. AI-Powered Matching
Venny uses artificial intelligence to analyze your networking intentions, professional profile, and event participation to suggest meaningful connections. The AI processes your stated goals and preferences — it does not make decisions about you as a person. You always have full control over who you connect with.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your profile information is visible to other attendees at events you join, as part of the networking experience.
- With event organizers: Organizers can see aggregated participation data. They cannot see your private messages.
- With service providers: We use third-party services (Firebase, Google Cloud) to host and operate our application.
- As required by law: We may disclose information if required by applicable law or legal process.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

Venny is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Services
Our application uses the following third-party services that may collect information:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, analytics, and hosting
- LinkedIn: Account creation and profile import (only with your explicit consent)
